The Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency will begin accepting applications for adult-use (recreational) licenses on November 1. In most cases an applicant will be required to have been previously approved for a medical marijuana license. The exceptions to prior medical marijuana business license approval are for Class A microbusiness license, which is a small grow license that allows for growing and retail sales at the same location.
If you desire to participate in the recreational adult-use marijuana industry in Michigan, you should act now in order to proceed through the process of obtaining approval for a medical marijuana license in order to qualify for a recreational marijuana grow or business license.
The new Michigan Marijuana regulations will require the applicant to designate a proposed location within 60 days of of the submission of a recreational license application.
